Soprano Pille Lill is one of the most well known opera singers in Estonia today. Her opera repertoire includes more than 30 operatic rôles, including Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), The Countess(The Marriage of Figaro), Pamina (The Magic Flute), Agathe (Der Freischütz), Tosca, Mimi (La Bohème), Madama Butterfly, Elisabetta(Don Carlo), Desdemona(Otello), Elvira(Ernani), Violetta(La Traviata), Aida, Amelia (Un ballo in Maschera), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Lisa (The Queen of  Spades), Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana), and Venus (Tannhäuser).

In 2009 Pille Lill will receive her Doctors degree as a singing specialist from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. She obtained her MA degree from the Sibelius Academy in 2003 and MA diploma from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Over the years she has been awarded many prizes, including Best Female Singer in Estonia (1996, 2002), the Wagner Society Scholarship (1998), the Bishop Platon’s III degree Distinguished Service Order (2005).

Pille Lill has performed with numerous conductors, the most influential including Neemi Järvi, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Carlo Felice Cillario, Eri Klas, John Storgard, Gintaras Rinkevičius and Vello Pähn. Pille Lill is also in high demanded as an oratorio soloist, and her career as a notable chamber musician has taken her around the world. She has recorded numerous CDs.
