Matthew Larkin


Born in Oxford, Matthew Larkin grew up in south-eastern Ontario, was a boy chorister at St George's Cathedral in Kingston, and later served as assistant organist there. He then attended both the University of Toronto, where he was, Organ Scholar of Trinity College, and the Royal College of Music. He served as Organist and Choirmaster at the Church of St John the Divine in Victoria from 1988-95, as Organist and Director of Music at St Matthew's Church, Ottawa, from 1995-2002, and as Director of the Choir of Men and Boys at St James's Cathedral Toronto, for the 2002-2003 season, and is now Organist and Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa. He is Artistic Director of the Anglican Chorale of Ottawa and the Founding Director of Euphonia Chamber Choir. He enjoys an international reputation as an accompanist, recitalist and recording artist.
