Rosa Torres-Pardo, piano
The Spanish pianist Rosa Torres-Pardo was born in Madrid, where she studied at the Royal Conservatory, graduating with the highest distinction. She worked in Madrid with JoaquÃn Soriano, with Maria Curcio in London, with Adele Marcus at the Juilliard School in New York and in Vienna with Hans Graf. In 1986 she won the International Piano Masterplayers Competition in Lugano and has since then appeared in concert with major orchestras in Spain and abroad in collaboration with a number of leading conductors. Her highly successful career has brought engagements throughout Europe, in the Americas and in the Far East, and a number of acclaimed recordings.
