Graziano de Pace

Born in Taranto, the baritone Graziano De Pace studied cello with M. Forte and graduated in singing from the G. Paisiello Music School under the guidance of A. Stragapede. Having joined when still very young the Gruppo Cameristico Bach ensemble conducted by F. Anti, he appeared with it throughout Italy giving concerts of Baroque music. He studied singing and vocal technique with C. Apollonia and S. Lowe, taking master-classes with M. Trombetta and C. Desoleri. His début took place in Taranto in Pergolesi's La serva padrona. As chorister and soloist he has appeared with numerous associations and orchestras, including Ico Magna Grecia, Coro Lirico di Lecce, Coro Umberto Giordano of Foggia, Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari, and Harmonya Catalonya (Spain). He has given concerts in Parnaso delle Muse, Martina Franca; Kerichen Auditorium in Brest (France), the Hall of the Vienna Business School (Austria); and Hung Hang Auditorium in Seoul (South Korea). He has interpreted the rôles of Figaro in Paisiello's Barbiere di Siviglia and Coviello in Pulcinella finto maestro di musica. He was Misha in Miske Misha e i lupi by Lotaro, and Procolo in Le convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali by Donizetti. He appeared in La bohème (Schaunard) in Bari, Rigoletto in Milan and The Merry Widow in Novara. He took the rôle of Luchetto in the première of the operetta Ghetonia by Muolo and sang Leandro in Gli astrologi immaginari and Il Conte in La furba e lo sciocco.
