German-Canadian tenor Michael Schade has already performed in many of the great opera houses of the world, including the Vienna Staatsoper, Salzburg Festival, Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, L’Opéra de Paris, San Francisco Opera, Hamburg State Opera, as well as all of the major companies in Canada. His performances have included Don Giovanni, Die Schweigsame Frau, Così fan tutte, Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Belmonte), Arabella, Il barbiere di Seviglia, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (David), and L’elisir d’amore. Mr Schade has also collaborated frequently with Helmuth Rilling and John Eliot Gardiner, for both performances and recordings.
