An experienced accompanist and vocal coach, John Evanson has been senior accompanist to the Finchley ChildrenÂs Music Group since 2000. He has accompanied at many competitions, concerts, recitals and examinations, occasions ranging from local music festivals and school concerts to degree recitals and national competitions. Before graduating with an honours degree in music from Bristol University he was organ scholar at St Mary Redcliffe Church. He has a post-graduate diploma in singing from the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied with Janet Price and Timothy Barratt, and now divides his time between accompaniment, coaching and professional choral and operatic work.
