Founded in 1886 the College is housed in an outstanding Victorian building inspired in design by a grand French château. Contained within this Founder's Building is a beautiful gilded chapel, with sculptures by Ceccardo Fucigna, as well as the Picture Gallery, which houses The Royal Holloway Collection, one of the world's most important and finest collections of Victorian paintings.
