Eir Inderhaug

Eir Inderhaug began her musical training at the Rogaland Conservatory in Stavanger, Norway, and at the age of 20 won First Prize in the talent competition Talantiaden on Norwegian TV. In 1997-2003 she studied with Professor Kirsten Buhl Møller, Ingrid Bjoner and Anthony Rolfe Johnson and she made her debut in November 2003 from the soloist class of the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. Her first roles included Adele in Die Fledermaus at the Molde Opera, Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Royal Danish Opera, Copenhagen, and Giulia in Rossini’s La Scala di seta at Malmö Musikteater. With performances in Belgium, France, Germany, Russia and Scotland, she has worked with famous conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy and Andrew Greenwood, and orchestras like the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and the Oslo Philharmonic. In the 2002-03 season she was engaged by Oper Nürnberg, and from the 2003-04 season she will be engaged by the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf.
