Julia Severus and Alina Luschtschizkaja first met when studying at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Since then they have been performing as the Aurora Duo and, together with colleagues, as the Aurora Quartet. Invitations for concerts have taken them to the Bayreuth Easter Festival, the Musikfestspiele Potsdam-Sanssouci, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Oslo Konserthus and Lindeman Hall, the East-West Festival at the Philharmony Zielona Gora, the International Week of Conservatories St Petersburg, the Musiktage Bad Gandersheim and the Kulturfeste Brandenburg.
