Helga Ros Indridadottir

Born in Iceland, Helga Rós Indridadóttir studied singing with Sieglinde Kahmann in Reykyavik. After her soloist's diploma she joined, in 1996, the Lieder class of Konrad Richter and the Stuttgart Musikhochschule. During her training there she made her début as Freia in Das Rheingold and in the Wilhelma-Theater as Poppea. Since the 1999/2000 season she has been a member of the Stuttgart Opera, and undertook arious rôles in King Arthur, Ninetta in The Love for Three Oranges, Fortuna / Lady-in-Waiting in L'incoronazione di Poppea, Luigia in Le convenienze teatrali and Amore in Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria, as well as Ida in Die Fledermaus, Antonia, a Naked Maiden in Moses und Aron, and Inez in Il trovatore. She has appeared as Euridice in Orfeo, the First Boy in Die Zauberflöte, Ortlinde in Die Walküre, Woglinde in Götterdämmerung and Zerlina in Don Giovanni. She has undertaken guest engagements in Bonn, Wiesbaden and Karlsruhe.
