In 1990-93 Elisabeth Meyer-Topsøe was with the opera in Nuremberg, where her roles included Webers Euryanthe and Senta in The Flying Dutchman. Since 1993 she has been a regular guest at the Royal Danish Opera, where she has sung the title role in Strauss' Ariane auf Naxos, the Feltmarschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, Elisabeth in Tannhäuser and Desdemona in Otello. In 1993 Elisabeth Meyer-Topsøe sang the title role in Euryanthe at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, conducted by Jeffrey Tate, and she was invited by him to sing in the Chatelet Operas production of Der Ring des Nibelungen in Paris in 1994, where she sang the Third Norn and Freia. Elisabeth Meyer-Topsøe's recording of Strauss Four Last Songs and Wagners Wesendonk-Lieder with the Zealand Symphony Orchestra was voted Editor's Choice of the Month in Gramophone. She has received a large number of awards and scholarships, and was the first non-Swedish singer to receive the Birgit Nilsson Prize.
