Bo Holten has been a prolific composer, his long list of works including operas, concertos, chamber music and film scores. In 1979 he founded the famous vocal group, Ars Nova, and directed over five hundred concerts and twenty recordings. Since 1991 Bo Holten has been Guest Conductor of the BBC Singers in London. Already that collaboration has resulted in fifty concerts and a number of recordings. In 1996 Bo Holten founded his new professional vocal ensemble, Musica Ficta. During its first season invitations were received to perform in a number of concerts in Denmark, and for overseas visits which included concerts in London where they appeared with the Royal Danish Brass and The New London Orchestra.
