Pietro De Maria

Pietro de Maria was born in Venice in 1967, and won his first major piano competition at the age of 13. He subsequently studied at the Venice and Geneva Conservatories. Awarded prizes at the 1990 Tchaikovsky and the 1994 Géza Anda competitions, he has since toured to considerable success throughout Europe and North America. This is his first recording on the Naxos label.
