Peter Schubert studied conducting with Nadia Boulanger, Helmuth Rilling, Jacques- Louis Monod and David Gilbert, and assisted Gregg Smith. He sang briefly under Norwood Hinkle, Richard Taruskin, John Blackley, and Edward Tatnall Canby. He has conducted The Barnard-Columbia Chorus, The New Calliope Singers, Cappella McGill, and The Orpheus Singers of Montreal. He has published two textbooks on counterpoint, an edition of Renaissance Noëls and a set of arrangements of five popular Christmas carols.
