John Lenehan (b1958)

John Lenehan has earned an international reputation both for his work as solo pianist and with leading chamber music groups of his generation. Together with such well-known musicians as Nigel Kennedy and Julian Lloyd Webber he has appeared in major concert venues around the world and has been a frequent broadcaster and recording artist.

In a performing career spanning more than 25 years he has also collaborated with many other of today’s leading instrumentalists and is recognised as one of the foremost accompanists and chamber musicians of today. During the past few years he has appeared in major concert halls in London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Salzburg, New York, Washington, Toronto, Seoul and Tokyo. John Lenehan is also active as a composer and has written and arranged for Kennedy, Julian Lloyd Webber, Tasmin Little, Emma Johnson and Angelika Kirchschlager. Published works include Keynotes, four books of piano repertoire for Faber, each containing a new Lenehan work, and for Schotts a collection of original pieces for flute and piano called Little Gems.
