John Herrick Littlefield


The flautist John Herrick Littlefield made his New York City Carnegie Recital Hall début when he was nineteen and has since toured extensively throughout the United States as well as in the former Soviet Union with a variety of ensembles including the flute and classical guitar duo Herrick & Handler, a flute and piano duo with his wife Karen Littlefield and with The Herrick Ensemble, an ensemble under his direction comprised of flute, clarinet, harp, piano and string quintet that has toured extensively under Kazuko Hillyer, Int. and was honoured to be one of the few ensembles selected by Chamber Music America and Symphony Space to perform on the celebration of their joint 25th anniversaries and aired over WNYC. He has been featured with critical acclaim at the Philips Gallery in Washington D.C., the Harvard Music Club, Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Recital Hall (now Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall), the Cathedral of St John the Divine in New York City, the Chicago Chamber Music Society, Prince Vladimir’s Palace in the former Leningrad, and at the Conservatory of Music in Tbilisi, Soviet Georgia, amongst many other venues.
