The cellist Michel Poulet was awarded first prizes in cello and in chamber music at the Paris Conservatoire in 1982 and in 1988, with the Ysaÿe Quartet, took second prize at the Portsmouth International Competition, with first and special prizes in the same year at Evian. His career has taken him to major concert-halls throughout the world.
