SEMPERCONSORT was founded in 1999 by Luigi Cozzolino in Florence principally for the performance of Italian chamber music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries on historical instruments. The members of the SEMPERCONSORT have long experience in the performance of early music, playing with the most important groups in this field, including Giardino Armonico, Europa Galante, Modo Antiquo, I Barocchisti, Accademia Bizantina, Ensemble Matheus, Ensemble Zefiro, Homme Armé, Ensemble Concerto, Ensemble Jannequin, Complesso Barocco, Concerto Italiano, as well as in leading symphony orchestras, including those of La Scala di Milano and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
