Eva Jenisova joined the Slovak National Opera in Bratislava in 1989. In 1992 she appeared in Don Giovanni at De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam and, at the Teatro Verdi Trieste, she sang Pamina in Die Zauberfloete. In the 1996/97 season she sang Micaela (Carmen) at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Elisabetta (Don Carlo) in Bratislava; Pamina again at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste and Rusalka at the Opernhaus Zürich. In May 1997 she made her debut as Katya Kabanova at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, a role she had already sung at the Opéra de Nancy as well as at the New Zealand Festival in Wellington. Under the baton of Sir Charles Mackerras, Eva Jenisova sang the title role in Janacek's Cunning Little Vixen at the Théâtre du Châtelet, a part she was invited to sing again at the Teatro Real Madrid in Spring 1998. Since then, Eva Jenisova has sung in both opera and oratorio in Madrid, Bologna, Munich, Graz, Leipzig, Salzburg, Paris and Vienna.
