Christian Hommel

Christian Hommel, is a product of the legendary oboist, Heinz Holliger, and is a frequent soloist throughout Europe. Lisa Stewart, born in Sydney in 1969, is now resident in Cologne, and from their she works as a soloist with many of Germany's orchestras. The Cologne Chamber Orchestra was formed in 1920, and since 1963 has been conducted by Helmut Müller-Brühl. It has made over 200 recordings, and has toured the world to considerable acclaim. Helmut Müller-Brühl is a pupil of the legendary Hermann Abendroth - who formed the orchestra, and has specialised in the field of baroque and early classical music.
