Magdalena Hajossyova is a graduate of the Conservatory and College for Music and Drama at Bratislava. She joined the Slovak National Opera in 1971 and also appeared as soloist with the Slovak Philharmonic from 1979 through 1989.
Over the course of her artistic career Ms Hajossyova has performed more than 30 main operatic roles. As a concert performer she has made a Baroque and contemporary repertoire her specialities. She gave concert and operatic performances throughout Europe, Asia and USA. In Germany she was awarded with the title "Kammersängerin" and Goethe Prize. She has recorded for Opus, Supraphon and Eterna, as well as on the Naxos label.
Ms Hajossyova is now a member of the State Opera at Berlin. She teaches at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin and at the Music Academy in Prague.
