Jozef Luptacik first learned to play the clarinet as a young child under the instruction of his father. He later studied at the Conservatoire and Music Academy in Bratislava, entering and winning many competitions while he was still a student. Known by many as a remarkably talented musician, he is first clarinetist for the Slovak Philharmonic and also performs with the Academic Wind Trio and the Slovak Wind Quintet.
