Jens Fuhr had his training as a pianist and musician with Paul Buck. After his piano diploma at the Stuttgart Musikhochschule with Patrick O’Byrne he studied Lieder with Ulrich Rademacher at the Karlsruhe Musikhochschule, where he was awarded a special prize as the best song accompanist and a distinction in his recital examination. He developed his abilities further at Lieder master classes with Irwin Gage in Zurich, again with distinction as a recitalist and song accompanist. Jens Fuhr worked for several years at the Stuttgart Opera School and is now a senior lecturer in vocal coaching at the Zurich Musikhochschule.He has for some years served as official accompanist for the finals of the Vienna Belvedere Singing Competition.
