Elisabeth Zeuthen Schneider

Elisabeth Zeuthen Schneider studied with Milan Vitek and Endre Wolf at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. After her debut in 1981 she studied in the United States with Isidore Cohen of the Beaux Arts Trio and Stanley Ritchie of Indiana University, Bloomington. Her awards include the Gade and Bræmer scholarships, the Carl Nielsen travel grant, Gladsaxe Music Prize, and the Peder Møller memorial scholarship. Elisabeth Zeuthen Schneider has been a principal in the Royal Danish Orchestra and the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and has appeared as a soloist with most of the Danish orchestras. She has also played in Germany, Belgium, France and Sweden and toured the United States and Iceland. From 1987 to 1990 she taught violin and chamber music at the Royal Academy of Music, Aalborg, and she is currently an instructor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.
