The tenor Manfred Fink was born in Petterweil and attended music school in Bad Vibel. As a pop singer under the name of Manfred Rosen he made five successful recordings, before undertaking further vocal study in Frankfurt and Modena. At the age of 23 he joined the German Oper am Rhein, where he has appeared in I Puritani, Lakmé and La Donna del lago, among other works. His career has taken him to La Scala, Milan, the Vienna State Opera and to major opera houses throughout Europe, as well as in Canada and in Japan.
