Mark Wilde

Born in Scotland, Mark Wilde was a chorister at Dundee Cathedral, furthering his studies at the University of East Anglia and the Royal College of Music. He performs regularly throughout the UK and abroad in opera, oratorio and recital.

Engagements have included the B Minor Mass in Bocholt, the Christmas Oratorio in Bremen Cathedral and for the European Baroque Orchestra, St John Passion at the Perth Festival, with the Hanover Band and the Lahti Symphony Orchestra, St Matthew Passion with Suomen Laulu Helsinki, The Creation for the International Church Music Festival, Kristiansand, Britten Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, St Nicolas with the Northern Chamber Orchestra and War Requiem in Westminster, Norwich and Ypres Cathedrals, Berlioz Te Deum in Orleans Cathedral, Ronald Corp's Laudibus under the composer's direction at the Royal Festival Hall, Acis and Galatea in St John's, Smith Square, Messiah in Winchester Cathedral, The Creation at the Barbican Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, Liszt Faust Symphony with the Liege Philharmonic Orchestra, Monteverdi Vespers 1610 at the Norland Musikkfestuke, Norway, and a tour of the Mozart and Zelenka Requiems with The Israel Camerata singing under the direction of conductors such as Stuart Bedford, Nicholas Braithwaite, Stephen Cleobury, David Hill, Osmo Vanska and Hilary Davan Wetton.

Mark made his Glyndebourne debut in the 2000 Festival as Ferrando Cos fan tutte, and Second Soldier The Coronation of Poppea for ENO. Other operatic engagements have included Albert Herring at the
