The Hungarian Radio Chorus was formed in 1950 as a multi-purpose choral group. It has since toured extensively throughout Europe, and has had a number of works specifically composed for it. It has appeared on many discs, including the highly acclaimed Naxos recording of Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
