The Chur Régional Vittoria de I'Ile de France was formed in 1987 through an initiative of the Conseil Régional d'Ile de France with Michel Piquemal as its chief conductor. Assisted by Daniel Bargier, the choir now comprises some 100 singers and appears regularly with major French orchestras and internationally renowned conductors, and has made many recordings, including works by Ropartz, Poulenc, Saint-Saëns, Bruneau and Berlioz.
