The Czech Chamber Choir was established in 1993, drawn from the Prague Chamber Choir and others. Since its foundation the choir has been directed by Pavel Baxa. The choir concentrates in particular on Bohemian baroque and classical repertoire, and has appeared in Italy under Gabriele Ferro, in Germany at the Stuttgart Bach Akademie and in Spain under Gerd Albrecht. The choir has made a number of compact disc recordings, particularly of works of the Bohemian baroque, and has since 1996 appeared regularly as a guest ensemble at the Rossini in Wildblad Festival.
