Toronto Mendelssohn Choir

The Toronto Mendelssohn Choir is Canada's world renowned large vocal ensemble. Since its foundation in 1894, it has maintained a tradition of performing the finest choral repertoire and has earned critical acclaim the world over. Comprised of over 160 volunteer singers, the Choir promotes and develops major works for large choir. Founded by Augustus S. Vogt, the TMC has flourished under the successive leadership of Herbert A. Fricker, Sir Ernest MacMillan, Frederick Silvester, Walter Susskind, Elmer Iseler, and now, Noel Edison. Recent guest artist appearances include regular engagements with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and the Brantford Symphony.
