Ariane Pfister-Benda

The violinist Ariane Pfister, a member of the Benda family, was a pupil of Louis Persinger, Lilli Kraus, Ricardo Odnopossof and Max Rostal and winner of the Rio de Janeiro International Violin Competition. She has played under conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Howard Mitchell, Stanislaw Wislocki and Karl Richter and appeared in the Americas and in all major European music centers. The cadenzas of Frantisek Benda's concerto in Db minor Ariane Pfister performs on this CD have been composed by her mother, the violinist Lola Benda. Ariane Pfister has recorded J.S.Bach's Musical Offering for Naxos (8.553286).
