Joseph Ho-Pang Kam graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts and the University of Michigan School of Music, where he received the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree. He has served as principal viola of Lansing Symphony Orchestra and in the Flint Symphony Orchestra, as well as participating in the Jeunesse Musicales World Orchestra and Pacific Music Festival. His principal teachers include Yizhak Schotten, Wayne Course and Jia-Yang Wang.
