The soprano Kirsten Blaise is rapidly earning outstanding critical acclaim for her performances in concert and recital throughout the world. Among other engagements she has sung with the BBC Symphony, London Sinfonietta, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, Netherlands Opera, Karlsruhe Händel Festspiele, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and Brooklyn Philharmonic. She made her Concertgebouw debut with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in Vaughan Williams's Sinfonia Antarctica, in 2003. That year she sang Handel's Gloria at the Carmel Bach Festival, and John Adams's Grand Pianola Music with the London Sinfonietta at Lincoln Center. In the same year she made her debut at the Karlsruhe Händel Festpiele as Arianna in Handel's Giustino, and was invited to repeat this at its 2004 Festival. In spring 2004 she sang Haydn's Il mondo della luna with Washington DC-based Opera Lafayette, followed by debuts with The King's Consort in Handel's L'Allegro and with the Oregon Bach Festival and a return to the Carmel Bach Festival for Mozart's Exultate Jubilate. Other engagements include the title role in Handel's Almira at the 2005 Händel Festspiele in Karlsruhe, Handel's Messiah with the Nord Nederlands Orkest and debuts with the Halle Händel Festspiele in Saul and the Ludwigsburgerschloss Festival in Haydn's Creation and Cimarosa's Gli Orazi ed i Curiazi, followed by her debut at the Paris Châtelet in Wagner's Ring conducted by Christoph Eschenbach.
