Christine Chareyron began her studies of music and drama at the Chambéry Ecole Nationale, continuing at the Grenoble Regional Conservatoire, followed by a period as a pupil of Jacques Rouvier at the Paris Conservatoire. In 1989 she took part in a master-class on Chopin with Jean Fassina, a decisive stage in her understanding of the piano. She appears as a soloist and as a recitalist and has recorded the piano music of Gershwin. She has also developed since 1986 a parallel theatre activity associated with music, with creations that include Enoch Arden by Richard Strauss, Esoterik Satie for the Avignon Festival, and Clara Schumann. She has appeared throughout Europe.
