The tenor Michael Myers performs at numerous international opera houses, interpreting rôles such as Huon in Weber's Oberon at La Scala under James Conlon, Cassio in Otello at the Metropolitan Opera, Arbace in Idomeneo at the Paris Opéra, Tom Rakewell, Soliman in Mozart's Zaide and Narraboth in Salome at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, Faust in La damnation de Faust at the Théâtre du Châtelet and in Lyon (recorded by EMI), conducted by John Eliot Gardiner, and Percy in Anna Bolena at the Canadian Opera Company (DVD recording) with Joan Sutherland in the role of Anna and Richard Bonynge conducting, and more recently the title rôle in Les Contes d'Hoffmann in Geneva. Michael Myers performs at the most important lyric theatres, including Toronto, Calgary, Ottawa and Edmonton in Canada, the Glyndebourne Festival, Scottish Opera, Seattle, New York City Opera, Santa Fe, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Minnesota, Miami, Los Angeles, Nice, Strasbourg, Avignon, Toulouse, Wiesbaden, Stuttgart and Santiago, Chile. With a repertoire ranging from Monteverdi to Verdi, and to Britten, Janáček and Shostakovich, as well as the contemporary, he enjoys a busy international career in both opera house and concert hall, in collaborations with colleagues and conductors of the highest distinction.
