Olga Solovieva was born in Moscow and graduated from the Russian Academy of Music in 1998 (piano), taking a post-graduate course in chamber ensemble in the same institution as an assistant to Leonid Blok during 1998–2000. In 1999 she was a prize-winner of the Open National Taneyev Chamber Music Competition, and in 2000 was a finalist at the XX International Chamber Music Competition in Trapani, Italy. At the 2002 XII International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow she won a special prize and was awarded a special diploma as best accompanist. Since 2004 she has been a professor at the Gnesin Musical College. As a soloist and member of a number of chamber ensembles Olga Solovieva has performed in several international musical festivals in Russia, as well in many concerts of classical and contemporary music in Moscow, Voronezh, Tver and other Russian cities. In 2006 she started to perform in Western Europe and has played several concerts in Belgium, as well as in Paris in 2009. Her recordings include three CDs with the music of Boris Tchaikovsky, the Piano Concerto (Naxos 8.557727), piano music (Albany Records), and vocal and chamber works (Toccata Classics), with a CD of the piano music of Herman Galynin (Toccata Classics).
